Director of Religious Education (DRE)

Oversees all activities related to the church’s  Lifespan Religious Education (“LSRE”) Program. 

The DRE is supervised by the Minister with input from the Religious Education Ministry. He/she works with other paid staff and volunteers to improve Church education opportunities. 

This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week and includes flexible hours, retirement, vacation, and absence benefits.

Duties include:

• Conduct the Lifespan Religious Education Program;
• facilitate child and youth worship services;
• administer the LSRE budget;
• recruit and train instructors;
• identify appropriate training materials and review with the RE Ministry, and
• other related activities.

Applicants should have:

• BA/BS (MS preferred) in social sciences; 
• experience in education, religion, and/or counseling;
• strong leadership skills;
• good understanding of Unitarian Universalism; and
• ability to work with diverse persons and teams of all ages.
