Selected Sundays,
9:45 – 10:45
Designed for participants of all ages, the Artist-In-Residence program has a fourfold goal:
- Encourage each participant's search for truth and meaning through a variety
of arts-related activities
- Increase intergenerational
interactions
- Help
integrate our upstairs R.E. programs with our downstairs Celebrations of Life
- Give families an opportunity to participate together.
Participants will
spend an hour on 3 or 4 consecutive weeks learning and practicing a particular
artistic endeavor under the leadership of an expert leader, culminating in a
downstairs performance or exhibition, either in the Celebration of Life or in
the Social Hall. Previous Artist-in-Residence programs have included Morris dance,
dulcimer orchestra, storytelling, choir for all ages, butterfly gardening, spiritual
drumming, contra dancing, and international folk dancing.
Choir for All Ages
In mid-December each year, the Choir for All Ages sings in our annual
Religious Education Holiday Celebration of Life. Rehearsals are held Sunday
mornings from 9:30 - 10:45 AM beginning in early or mid-November.
