Wrapping It Up - A Credo
Building Your Own Theology, Session #10
In the last session we will evluate what working this curriculum has done for us. If you feel so moved, you may share your written credo statement, or parts of it, with the group. We will also discuss James Fowler's Stages of Faith, which many find to be somewhat controversial.
". . . Long before we hold any belief about it, we feel the presence of something sacred and meaningful. Unable to name it, we respond with metaphor, which vision, with decision; and we live as though that were the way the world is. Your theology is your commitment. In Herman Melville's words, 'It is not down in any map; true places never are.'"
------ Raymond Baughan in What is Your Theology?
